The Story of Us: 1 Year of Marriage

Photo below taken by Anwar Torres, a fellow Scott Robert World Tour photographer

Celebrating our 1 Year of Marriage!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Do

"There is no greater delight than to watch two lovebirds."
- Anonymous

Ceremony/Reception Location: New Wine Church @ Fullerton, CA

From the minute we walked into the church and first met the groom, we knew this wedding was going to be a hilarious and wonderful celebration.

The groom was a natural with the camera.

The bridal party was able to really party and show some attitude.

The secret to their high energy?

We LOVE weddings that are able to add in a lot of fun...

...along with a lot of beauty...

...and tender real moments.

This group could REALLY dance. It was crazy to watch!

The bride & groom were glowing the whole time. There is really nothing quite like seeing a happy bride & groom on their wedding day.

A warm-hearted congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Do!

Damian & Nicole | Happily Engaged

"My beloved is mine, and I am his..."
- Song of Solomon 2:16a

Location: Bonita Canyon @ Irvine, CA

Damian & Nicole are a beautiful couple, both inside and out. We had such a great time with them. Engagement shoots to us often end up feeling a lot like an awesome double date where we get to know and hang out with our couples.

A heart-shaped engagement ring!

Engagement photos are the PERFECT way to get comfortable with your wedding photographer and all the photos that will be taken of you before your big day.

Get It in Writing | Type A Bride

Tips from One Type A Bride to Another

Because of both personal experience and seeing this happen to other brides we know, may I share a tip for couples planning their wedding?

Get Vendor Promises in Writing

I can't tell you how many vendors and especially venues promise brides to include something for which, after you've signed, paid, and think everything's set, they will charge you extra.

What's the Key to Not Get Charged Extra for What Was Promised?

Get it in writing ASAP and in detail. They need to bullet point all the things that are especially important for you to provide before you pay and sign on the dotted line. If it's not explicitly stated in the contract or invoice, you can easily be charged extra for it later on.

No bride needs that added stress.

Efficient businesses make this a priority before they sign and so should you.

Have you got any other tips, thoughts or experiences you have had with this? Let me know.

Your Fellow Type A Bride & Friendly Neighborhood Wedding Photographer,
Drexelle
